money... my own stats....
So what is a single mom (of three) working full time and receiving no financial help but child support to do? I am right on the line and do not qualify for help (other than a medical assistance program not even the basic medicaid oh yeah and 25 dollars foodstamps, no hud no cash, no nothing else)
Well, i don't know.
i have just found a few resources online to help make a budget for free. they moniter your accounts and bills and let you know exactly where your money goes each month. this in theory will tell you where you can cut corners.
i also am looking into a second job. at minimum wage (7.15 an hour) and an extra 20 hours a week that will give me an extra 143 a week. (before taxes) now if i can manage to get these 20 hours in at night after my full time job i will not need to pay a sitter as i am lucky enough to have the most responsible sixteen year old on earth and not to mention school is almost back in session and the littler children will be in bed after 9 at night.
i get out of the first job at 915pm so i could get a shift from 10pm to 2am? is there such a thing?
i dunno i am working on this. in the mean time here are some free budget sites:
yodlee money center
mint.com
this is a great site (women in red) i am about to take advantage of. appearently the women on this site will help you personally with your budget. You enter all of you income info and all of you expense info. they then give you advice on what to do to save money or spend less.

Natural Remedies For Kids
Running to the doctor's every time you child is sick is not always feasible, or necessary. If your child has just come down with a cold or the runs, a tummy ache or something normal and non threatening, the money for a doctors visit may not be worth the trip to hear "the child seems fine, it's just a bug, watch them for a few days and call if they develop a fever".
I have found some natural remedies to share with all of you.
DIARRHEA:
add yogurt to the diet as soon as possible, it contains a good bacteria that fights bad bacteria.
for babies is for them to eat carrots, rice cereal, bananas, potatoes, and applesauce to help firm the stools. Fruit juices, peas, pears, peaches, plums, prunes and apricots should be avoided until the stools are back to normal. Adults and older children can also eat cheese, crackers, bread, rice and potatoes. During diarrhea outbreaks, it's best to avoid most dairy products, which tend to make diarrhea worse. This includes milk, butter, creams, and eggs. Yogurt is the exception; it will help to stop diarrhea.
Drinks like Pedialyte or KaoLectrolyte can be given to replenish both in babies, and even in older children and adults. These will help to avoid dehydration.
SUNBURN:
cool down the burn first, use ice directly on the burn, not on serious burns, they can only tolerate cold water.
Aloe vera products are often just lanolin with a touch of aloe added, lanolin will hurt, so read ingredients in those aloe vera treatments. Pure aloe vera will not prevent peeling later, so use the following to avoid peeling.
Lavender oil will stop the pain and prevent peeling, saving the skin from blistering and turning white after healing. Carefully drip the oil onto brun then blot (not rub) to spread with a gental tissue. Do not shower immediatly and reapply after next shower.
